How long does each therapy session take?

Online and telephone counselling sessions last up to 50 minutes

How many sessions should I have?

People may decide to have a set number of sessions or leave it open-ended, there is no optimal number of sessions, Your counsellor will discuss with you what might best suit your needs

How often should I have a session?

Generally speaking one session a week tends to be more useful, but there can be flexibility depending on your current circumstances.

What type of therapy can you offer?

I am trained to use person-centred, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic therapies. You can discuss these in more detail in a free 30 minute consultation session

Can you help with other issues?

Yes. I have experience of working therapeutically with a wide range of issues including; depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship difficulties and LGBTQIA+ related issues.

How do I know you are qualified to provide counselling?

How can I find out if counselling is for me?

Book a free 30 minute consultation to discuss your thoughts about counselling, allay any fears and understand how counselling may be helpful.

Do you offer in-person counselling?

Presently, all therapy is delivered remotely, however in-person sessions may be arranged for people residing in or near Poole, Dorset.

How can I pay for sessions?

Payment for sessions is required in advance via credit/debit card or bank transfer.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

I offer concessionary fees to a limited number of people

Will my insurance cover the cost of the sessions?
